I am a former Golf Professional who now primarily works from home on my computer.  I retired from my previous career as a PGA Golf Professional because I developed a bad back and my part time income I had developed online had exceeded what I was making as a full time Golf Professional.

I got very lucky and was very successful from my very first foray into the online arena. I started my first online business in September of 2003. That was a business that involved selling a nutritional product. The product I chose to sell was a product I heard about on an infomercial that was being marketed by an MLM company.  All I new about MLM or Network Marketing was the negative stereo typical things I heard growing up and I had no interest in being part of it.  I knew I wanted to try and market something online but I had no idea what.  Then I heard that infomercial and oddly the same day my room mate came home with the product I had heard about from the infomercial. We both tried and liked the product.  I then convinced myself that this was an omen of some kind and that I needed to market this product despite the fact it was MLM.

So I designed my first website, started my first Pay Per Click campaign and began to learn SEO. I did absolutely nothing early on to learn anything about MLM as I was only concerned about selling a product for profit.

To make a long story short, I had immediate success and made a profit my very first month and I was generating over $40,000 a month in less than a year.

Most of the money early on was strictly commissions from my own sales to my own customers.  To my surprise, many of my customers started inquiring about becoming distributors and I actually started building a down line by accident. Every month the percentage of my income that came from my own sales or efforts started going down and the percentage from my down line began to go up.

My upline early on recognized my value to them via their checks and we became close friends. They wanted to know what I was doing and they educated me about MLM.  The power of leverage and the MLM compensation plan became crystal clear to me.  When I was making 40k per month my top first level distributor was making $25k and his top distributor 15k. My upline’s income went up the same way, my sponsor was making 60K, his sponsor was making 100k, his sponsor was making 150k and his sponsor was the master distributor and was making 250k.  It soon sunk in that a small piece of the efforts of many was far better than the whole piece of the efforts of myself.

I had become a huge fan and proponent of MLM. I spent the past 6 years building and refining systems to help myself and other Network Marketers run their businesses.

The internet is constantly changing and marketing strategies that worked so well back in 2003 don’t work nearly as well today, but there are new things that work better.

My expertise is in Internet and Network Marketing and I developed this blog to share my knowledge with my readers and to keep them up to date on the ever changing web.
